Schtroumpf
Passion 2005
The
Schtroumpf Passion is a smurf collector's fair
that has been held in La Louviere in Belgium
each year for the last few years. The Passions
have been organised by Xavier - SAUSSARD.BE
- and see many smurf collectors from all over
Europe visit them. Schtroumpf Passion 2005 was
held on April 24th and the trip was fantastic,
not just because of all the different smurfs
and smurf items available but also to be able
to meet so many other smurf fans.
Obviously
there were smurfs, boxes and boxes of cheap
smurfs everywhere and if you were willing to
have a good dig there were some great bargains
to be had. Just about every different normal
and super smurfs were plentiful, variations
were everywhere and there were many many rare
promo smurfs around including all the Phillips
bulbs and batteries, Gloria Milk, Sparkesse
promos, Shell promos and we even spotted the
guitarist with Fender on his head, plus many
many others. There were at least half a dozen
Fafnirs around (one without writing but no red
ones), maybe 3 or 4 huge meter high Papas, a
normal meter high smurf, a Pop Rocky bronze
smurf (bit pricey for us at 2500 Euros!) at
least 3 treestump playsets, the castle (minus
box at 900 Euros) which one guy was showing
a lot of interest in but we don't know if he
eventually bought it and quite a few moon sets,
some with boxes and some without. What was also
amazing was the amount of other smurfy merchandise
that has been available over the years. You
name it and it was there from smurf socks to
inflatable smurf swimming aids.
It
is far easier to describe the event in pictures
