Smurfs With Miniature Dolls Accessories
Items Being Added To Make "Rare Promo Smurfs"

There seems to have been an increase in sales during 2006 of smurfs being sold as rare promotional smurfs or HTF because they have accessories. The accessories concerned are in fact produced as miniatures to be used with dolls houses.

Unfortunately, it is not always mentioned by the seller that the smurf being sold is in fact homemade and new collectors can get confused and sometimes spend a large amount of money on what they believe to be a rare smurf figure.

Items such as bottles, cans, packets, pies, cakes, fruit and vegetables are the types of items being added to smurfs but there are other items such as furniture, kitchen accessories and other household goods that are available. Here is a list of just some of the accessories that we know about, there are many many more that we haven't mentioned:

  • Non Alcoholic Bottles & Cans: Coke Cola, Diet Coke Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Pepsi, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, Tonic Water, Soda Water.
  • Alcoholic Bottles: Guiness, Red Wine, White Wine, Champagne, Campari, Martini, Malibu, Vodka, Tequila, Gin Rum and more.
  • Various cakes and pies.
  • Cereal packets
  • Washing powders
  • Various foods including cheese, meat, bread.
  • Gardening tools.

Please remember, these miniature accessories are widely available for very little money, often only a few pence. The smurf is normally worthless as it has lost it's original accessory.

Although we agree that these look great as display items and are fun to add to scenes, please remember you don't need to spend large amounts of money to purchase these smurfs. You would be far better off purchasing the dolls house miniature items yourself and recycle any smurfs that have lost their original items.

If you do decide to make these smurfs for fun, please think twice about selling them on though. Even though you may be an honest seller and state that these smurfs are indeed homemade creations, another smurf collector may not be so honest and try to sell the figure on as a "Rare Fanta Smurf", a "HTF Cola Bottle Smurf" or the "Prototype All-Bran Never Seen Before Promo Smurf"!
